Classic Army - M16 Vietnam ( AEG )

The classic M16A1 was the iconic standard issue rifle of the Vietnam War. It was issued to the vast majority of the U.S. Marine Corps and other auxiliary forces during the conflict. Its battle-proven performance and general success in combat led to its continued service in the U.S. armed forces in various iterations over the decades. In 1969, the M16A1 replaced the aging M14 battle rifle, with the M16A1 incorporating numerous modifications and enhancements, which included a bolt-forward assist, chrome-plated bore, protective reinforcement around the magazine release, and a revised flash hider design. The popularity of the M16 platform caused it to be widely adopted by other armed forces around the world, and in recent times, it is the standard issue for NATO armed forces alongside its younger brother, the M4.
